Screen WM has announced this year's final six commissioned short films in their popular Digishorts contest, and a third of them are animated.Animation Forum WM members Nice Monster Studios and Dice Productions have been commissioned to produce Best and All Consuming Love (Man in a Cat) respectively, with the latter currently looking to "expand it's rota of local 2D freelancers as work starts to increase."Work would be occasional and out of studio but it'd be nice to be able to give out work to as many local animators as possible," says Louis Hudson of Dice."We're looking for really strong traditional, frame-by-frame character animators with experience of working with thumbnails and action poses. Preferably able to draw straight into Flash and have an understanding of After Effects."The studio is also looking for 2D Flash and After Effects specialists, Clean Up Artists, Illustrators and Background Artists.
