Animated Comedy Hits Brum

As part of Birmingham Comedy Festival, Birmingham-based animators Dice Productions  are bringing a host of animated, video and live comedy to the city's Electric Cinema as cult, London favourite Popcorn Comedy comes to the Midlands this coming Monday.

Popcorn Comedy a regular London-based comedy night dedicated to bringing audiences the funniest online videos and stand-up, takes place on Monday 5th October at 8.30pm at Britain's oldest working cinema The Electric.The evening will feature the rap/stand up styling's of Doc Brown and the wonderful Holly Walsh live on stage, as well as a selection of the newest and funniest videos from the web in glorious high resolution.

"Popcorn Comedy does the hard work for us, offering a monthly selection of the strongest, sharpest and funniest videos online," according to The Guardian. "And instead of the usual 320 by 240 pixels, here they'll be transposed to the altogether more satisfying platform of a full-size cinema screen, and mixed with live performances."Tickets are limited, £6 each and can be bought via The Electric's booking page.
