Directors behind new Monty Python-themed animated feature, A Liar’s Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman, are talking about their new film on Saturday 23rd March at Birmingham City University's School of Art, Margaret Street, as part of Flatpack Festival.

Hosted by Animation Forum West Midlands, Directors Ben Timlett and George Sander-Jackson will be talking about collaborative movie-making and mixing multiple animation styles, after working with fourteen different animation companies on their latest release.

Animation Battle Royale Next Week in London

Animation Forum WM returns to the fold with a humble, little, London-pub-based-event that we've put together with our two All Animated UK comrades, Animated Yorkshire and Wonky (Bristol), this coming Tuesday (6th November '12).

The event, the quite awesomely titled Animation Battle Royale, pits submissions for Animation Forum WM's Shorts on Walls (more on that soon, but it's on 27th November at the Victoria, Birmingham) against a compilation of notorious (and perhaps evil) animated productions from the regions of Yorkshire and Bristol.

Half Term Multimedia Mayhem: Hollywood Comes To Ludlow

Shropshire Media Network is working in collaboration with Salty's Animation and Appletree Theatre and Film Company to offer an exciting opportunity for future filmmakers and animators.

The 1-day film and animation workshops, for young people aged 11-16, aims to get teens involved behind and in front of the cameras, learn some new skills and get inspired to make short films.

Attendees will spend a fun packed day filled with creative activities that will allow them to pick up the Hollywood tricks of the trade.

You’ll have the option to be the new Steven Spielberg and learn a host of new skills including: film making skills, narrative and character development, using professional cameras, microphones and lighting equipment, shooting on location and the chance to watch their films on the big screen.
