About Us
Animation Forum West Midlands is a relatively new project with the goal of helping establish the West Midlands as a key player in the national and international animation industry.
The forum aims to achieve this lofty goal through running events where animation professionals are free to network with each other and discuss future collaboration. Following our recent website redesign, forum members now have the ability to directly contact other members through our reworked Members page. Membership is free, and primarily targeted at those working within the West Midlands animation sector.
As well as the networking element offered by Animation Forum WM, the website provides updates on news and events that affect animators in the region. We also have regular magazine-style features with the brightest and best animation talent around.
The forum is guided by a variety of figures from the Midlands animation industry, including The Character Shop, The Brothers McLeod, Synthetic Dimensions, Light House/Flip Festival/Plot and a range of academia and support agencies. Visit the Partners page for more details.
Animation Forum West Midlands is a project funded by Digital Central, and managed by Birmingham City University (formerly University of Central England in Birmingham).
